Its core characteristic is its nickel (Ni) content of approximately 9%, slightly higher than the 8% nickel content of standard 304 stainless steel. This compositional adjustment significantly enhances the material's overall performance, resulting in superior corrosion resistance, processability, structural stability, and low-temperature toughness. It is widely used in precision manufacturing applications requiring high-quality materials. 304Ni9 stainless steel strip is an austenitic stainless steel composed primarily of 18% chromium (Cr) and 9% nickel (Ni). It exhibits excellent oxidation resistance and is highly resistant to corrosion from atmospheric air, water vapor, weak acids, and weak bases. It maintains long-term stability in humid, high-temperature environments, or environments with low chloride ion content, making it less susceptible to rust and stress corrosion cracking. The high nickel content enhances the stability of the austenitic structure, making the material less susceptible to magnetism during cold working and maintaining excellent non-magnetic or weak magnetic properties.
