304Ni9 stainless steel needle tube material is a special material based on 304 stainless steel, with the nickel content stably controlled at about 9%. It is specially designed for precision medical devices such as needle tubes.
Material and performance characteristics
• Composition advantage: The nickel content is 9% (higher than the lower limit of 8%-10.5% of ordinary 304), which further stabilizes the austenite structure, improves the corrosion resistance (especially the corrosion resistance to body fluids and disinfectants), ductility and polishing performance of the material, and ensures good low-temperature toughness and non-magnetic properties.
• Mechanical properties: Balanced strength and toughness, moderate hardness, excellent cold processing performance, can be made into extremely thin-walled (usually 0.1-0.3mm) needle tubes through cold drawing, stamping and other processes, and it is not easy to crack after forming, which can meet the strict requirements of needle tubes for dimensional accuracy (such as inner diameter, wall thickness tolerance ±0.01mm).
