Material characteristics
Composition basis: 301 stainless steel belongs to 300 series austenitic stainless steel, with a chromium content of about 16%-18% and a nickel content of about 6%-8%. It has a typical austenitic structure and is non-magnetic at room temperature, but it will produce certain magnetism after cold working.
Core performance: The strength and hardness are significantly improved after cold working (such as the hardness of the cold-rolled state can reach HV 300-500), with excellent elasticity and high fatigue strength, and can maintain stable elastic properties under repeated stress; the corrosion resistance is better than 200 series stainless steel, but slightly lower than 304 stainless steel, and it performs well in dry atmosphere and neutral environment.

Structure and processing: 301 stainless steel strip is used as raw material, and it is made through stamping, winding, heat treatment and other processes. Common forms include leaf springs, coil springs, wave springs, etc., which can be designed into different sizes and elastic parameters according to needs.
Performance advantages: high elastic limit after cold hardening, suitable for making springs under high stress; good temperature resistance, can maintain stable mechanical properties in the range of -270℃ to 300℃, meeting the needs of most normal temperature and medium and low temperature scenarios.

Application areas
Precision instruments: such as clockwork and contact springs in clocks and instruments, relying on their high-precision elasticity and stability.
Mechanical manufacturing: elastic elements used in clutches, valves, and shock absorbers to withstand repeated loads.
Electronic appliances: such as conductive springs in connectors and switches, which have both elasticity and certain conductivity.
Rail transit, aerospace: as small elastic supports or buffer elements in some parts with requirements for weight and strength.

Advantages

Excellent elasticity, high strength after cold working, long fatigue life, corrosion resistance that meets general environmental requirements, and cost-effectiveness is higher than 304 springs (in scenarios where corrosion resistance is not extremely demanding).
