316Ti stainless steel strip is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel modified from 316 stainless steel by adding titanium (Ti). Its primary composition is 16-18% chromium (Cr), 10-14% nickel (Ni), and 2-3% molybdenum (Mo). A suitable amount of titanium (typically Ti ≥ 5×(C+N)) is added to form stable titanium carbide (TiC), effectively preventing chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries. This significantly improves the material's resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature stability. This material combines the excellent corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel with the processing advantages of titanium stabilization, making it widely used in high-end industrial applications operating in high-temperature, highly corrosive environments. 316Ti stainless steel strip is distinguished by its exceptional high-temperature resistance and weldability. In the high temperature range of 450℃ to 900℃, ordinary 316 stainless steel is prone to intergranular corrosion due to the precipitation of chromium carbide. The titanium element in 316Ti preferentially combines with carbon, inhibiting the chromium depletion phenomenon at the grain boundaries. This allows the material to maintain good organizational stability and corrosion resistance after welding or in long-term high-temperature service. It is particularly suitable for components that require welding or high-temperature operation.
