316Ti Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Strip For Automotive Metal Bellows

316Ti stainless steel belt bellows is a bellows made of 316Ti stainless steel belt, which has both the excellent performance of 316Ti stainless steel and the structural characteristics of bellows.

Material characteristics
Outstanding corrosion resistance: 316Ti adds titanium (0.5%-1.0%) on the basis of 316 stainless steel. Titanium preferentially combines with carbon to form stable carbides, reduces the precipitation of chromium carbides, avoids intergranular corrosion, and is better than 316 in acid, alkali, and salt (especially chloride ion-containing media) resistance. It also has better oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
Excellent high temperature strength: In a high temperature environment of 400-900℃, the mechanical strength and stability are better than 316, and it can withstand pressure fluctuations and thermal shocks at high temperatures, and is suitable for high temperature conditions.
Good processing performance: The corrugated structure of the bellows can be made by cold rolling, stamping and other processes. After forming, it still maintains good toughness and strength, and is not easy to fatigue and break due to repeated expansion and contraction.

Application scenarios
Petrochemical industry: used in high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosive medium-containing pipeline systems, such as reactors and distillation tower connection pipelines, to compensate for the displacement caused by thermal expansion and contraction of equipment, and to withstand corrosion from acids, alkalis, organic solvents, etc.
Energy and power: used as compensation elements in high-temperature steam pipelines and cooling water pipelines in nuclear power plants and thermal power plants to resist erosion by high-temperature water vapor and corrosive media.
Metallurgical industry: suitable for high-temperature flue gas pipelines and cooling systems of smelting equipment, and to withstand the long-term effects of high temperature and dust-containing corrosive gases.
Precision instruments: in instruments and equipment that require precise displacement compensation, such as pressure sensors and valve control systems, its flexibility and stability are used to ensure equipment accuracy.

Compared with 316L stainless steel bellows, 316Ti performs better at high temperatures (especially above 500°C) and in strong oxidizing environments, and is suitable for scenarios with higher requirements for heat resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance, but the cost is also relatively high, making it an ideal choice for extreme working conditions.
