316L stainless steel needle tube material is a special material for medical or industrial needle tubes made of 316L stainless steel strip as raw material and made by precision processing. Its characteristics and processing adaptability are designed for the high precision, high cleanliness and corrosion resistance requirements of needle tubes.
Material core characteristics
• Super corrosion resistance: Contains 16%-18% chromium, 10%-14% nickel, and adds 2%-3% molybdenum. Compared with 304L, the corrosion resistance to chloride ions (such as human body fluids, saline) and weak acids and alkalis (such as disinfectants) is significantly improved, which can avoid the precipitation of metal ions due to corrosion during the use of needle tubes and meet the medical safety requirements.
• Ultra-low carbon content (≤0.03%): Reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, and maintains good corrosion resistance even after welding or high-temperature sterilization (such as 121℃ high-pressure steam sterilization), which is suitable for medical needle tubes that are repeatedly sterilized.
• Excellent plasticity and toughness: It has excellent cold processing performance and can be rolled into extremely thin steel strips (thickness 0.05-0.3mm). It is not easy to crack during precision stretching and reducing processing, and can be made into needles with smooth inner walls and precise dimensions.
